Chrysoprase

Chrysoprase is an apple green variant of chalcedony. Throughout the ages chrysoprase’s mint green color has been lauded for its hardness and beauty. Chrysoprase is often found with its crust rock still attached which gives it a gorgeous mint green and brown matrix.
The complex colors in mint green and brown chrysoprase has long been a favorite of lapidary artists. Chrysoprase was used by the Greeks, Romans, and the Egyptians in jewelry and other ornamental objects.
